2. Persistent visual loss:

a.    Macular degeneration: Vision which deteriorates gradually and centrally is often seen in disorders associated with the macula.

b.    Diabetic Retinopathy: Vision which deteriorates gradually in a patchy pattern is often associated with diabetic eye diseases.

c.    Glaucoma: Vision gradually deteriorating from the periphery is generally seen in patients with glaucoma.  

 

d.    Vision which deteriorates gradually and diffusely is often seen in patients with cataract.
